An all French and all Jamendo special this week with music from
around that great country. Introduced from a wonderful 70 year-old
restaurant in the centre of Boulogne, on the north coast. It was
spectacularly cold with a thick frost and freezing fog, neither of
which quite cleared all day.
Even the brisk walk back up to the car park near the cathedral was cold. It's frustrating; you think a steep climb up will have you getting warm but I was out of breath before I'd got warm! Back to the Barn but too tired to listen back properly or I'd have discovered a missing bit of the show! In now, hense the repost. Sorry.

Imagine yourselves in the streets of Chicago in full car chase then in the infernal merry-go-round of a circus, to finish in the trance of an overheated nightclub... La Goutte au Nez transports you from a universe to the other one in flash: from the dub to popular waltz, of the hip - hup in the klezmer, the jazz in the reggae, on bottom of jungle and drum'n'bass. For several years already, these eight musicians surround stages and public place, surprising a wide public.

Projet élaboré autour de CHRISTINE ROCHE et DAVID « TMX » GROUSSET (chants leads) qui depuis 8 ans vivent leur histoire d'amour en parallèle de la musique.

franck kp7 : guitare
On ne peut évoquer ces deux personnages sans parler de Westing-House groupe dans lequel ils officièrent pendant 8 ans (3 albums, 300 concerts…) ceci constituant une base solide à l'élaboration de ce nouveau projet.
CEDRIC TAM (guitariste de Westing-House) adhéra également au projet et vint les rejoindre. THOMAS BONCOUR « l'hyper actif » qui fit ses armes de bassiste dans Jump For Joy apportera désormais son énergie dans Both. Notre musique s'orientant inévitablement vers une pluralité des styles, la présence d'un synthé nous sembla indispensable. C'est MATHIEU GROSJEAN, ex clavier des nancéiens de Skarekrow qui s'y colla, accompagné du batteur issu de la même formation, PIERRE PERDICARO.
"Passons d'un style à l'autre, au grés de l'humeur, selon l'envie, à bas les stéréotypes et l'enfermement."
Les chants sont majoritairement en français, notre musique simple, mélodique et espérons le…efficace !
